Item Description
Enjoy the art of bonsai. This beautiful Hick's Yew tree is 16'' high, in carved feather rock 9'' high by 9'' wide (more or less), and 10" long. The tray is 9 1/4" by 11".
Feather rock is a pumice derived from volcanic origins. This rock originates from the Mt. Shasta area in the rugged Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. Feather rock is very porous, due to the cooling lava releasing tremendous amounts of air, which riddled the rock with minute air bubbles, thereby creating a natural insulating medium that protects your tree from both heat and cold.
Your bonsai will be happiest and healthiest if it lives outdoors, and though it can be brought indoors for a few days, it will eventually weaken and die if not provided with adequate light. These trees have withstood the extremes of our Portland seasons with little or no problems.
Comes with an instruction sheet for care.
