Songs for Sisters (and Brothers) is a benefit CD created by the Cascade Songwriter's Collective and produced by Ken Vigil. Artists include: Ken Vigil, Paul Edward Sanchez, Barb Galloway, Matt Meighan, Deb E. Dee, Kathleen Lundquist, Dave Mullany, Jim Burke, Tracy Klas and Richard Colombo (longtime Sisters supporter and owner of Artichoke Music).
The collection focuses on the themes of homelessness and poverty, and asks its listeners to stop, think, and consider these issues in a variety of ways with beautiful and sometimes haunting melodies and lyrics.
Also included is a live recording from Winterfolk XV, with music from the likes of Utah Phillips, Kate Power & Steve Einhorn, Andrew Calhoun and Tracy Grammer.
