"Artist Burton Morris' paintings put an energetic and colorful spin on today's culture. In his post-Pop style, Morris boldly projects a unique mix of high energy and optimism, portraying images that people relate to in everyday life.
He first gained national attention in the mid-1990s when his artwork was chosen to hang on the set of the NBC hit television series Friends. Over the years, his artwork has been selected for the 76th Academy Awards®, the Paris World Cup Soccer Games, the 38th Montreux Jazz Festival, the 2004 Summer Olympic Games and the 2006 MLB All-Star Game. He has created signature artwork for Absolut Vodka, H.J. Heinz Corporation, Chanel and Kellogg's Corporation among many others. In addition, Morris' artwork has raised millions of dollars for charities worldwide.
Burton Morris original artworks are displayed internationally and are featured in the collections of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Jimmy Carter Center, The United Nations and the Elysée collection. One-man exhibitions include Sotheby's of Amsterdam and the International Olympic Museum.
Burton is a life-long Pittsburgher, maintaining his connections to the region through his parents and the countless "good deeds" he does on behalf of his beloved city."
The Grape Outdoors was commissioned by Ernest and Julio Gallo to benefit the environmental organization Global ReLeaf. One of his earliest corporate commissions (1993).
