Item Description

Beautifully framed SECRETARIAT 25TH ANNIVERSARY poster produced by the Daily Racing Form has been signed by owner and breeder Helen Bates "Penny" Chenery Tweedy! Charts and photos of the Triple Crown races, Newsweek and Time magazines, with the centerpiece showing "BIG RED" at the Preakness! Coming in at 16.2 hands and 1,200 pounds, Secretariat is perhaps the greatest horse to ever race. As he came to the Belmont Stakes in June 1973 with a chance to become the first Triple Crown winner in a quarter of a century, Secretariat led the news headlines in North America. The Big Red Horse made the covers of Time, Newsweek and Sports Illustrated--something that hadn't happened before or since.
