Item Description
One of a kind gourd birdhouse by Manny Garcia.
measurements: 32" in length, 20" diameter at the widest part. Holes are 1 1/2" in diameter.
Manny Garcia, a Tucson folk artist known regionally for his handcrafted gourd birdfeeders/birdhouses, gourd containers and teclas-hand painted mission roof tiles.
In 1994, after a career of 35 years as a meat cutter, Manny retired and began making his decorative gourds and Spanish mission tile teclas. He has also been commissioned to paint several large scale murals.
His wife of 43 years, Denisa says, "I always knew Manny was talented, but it took retirement to bring out those talents."
Manny's work is featured at The Wild Bird Store.
