About Tucson Yoga
Tucson Yoga is a community yoga studio offering low-cost classes at $6 per class. We opened in 2003 as an alternative for Tucson yogis seeking a non-commercialized place to do yoga with excellent teachers. Over the years, we've become known for attracting the best selection of instructors to be found anywhere in Tucson. The community has given back by voting us as their favorite yoga studio in Tucson every year since 2005.
With classes ranging from beginning to advanced, and from gentle to vigorous, there's something for just about everybody. Tucson Yoga embraces all styles of yoga with a comprehensive, non-dogmatic approach. Read Student Reviews of Tucson Yoga here.
Our Mission
Tucson Yoga's mission is to make good health and well-being through yoga affordable and accessible to everyone. We promote a well-rounded yoga practice that goes beyond exercise to also encompass meditation, relaxation, mindfulness practice, Taoist yoga, and yin yoga. Read more about our mindfulness focus in this newspaper article.
Our Studio
All our classes are in our 1150-square-foot studio in downtown Tucson, with plenty of street and bike parking right outside, and our location is easily accessible by bicycle for UA students.

First Low-Cost Yoga Studio
At the standard yoga studio prices, many people would never be able to start a yoga practice. In 2003, Tucson Yoga was the first yoga studio in the US to begin offering all classes at a fixed low cost. Over the years this has helped bring yoga into the lives of thousands of people. Since Tucson Yoga opened, other yoga studios in Tucson have been inspired to offer reduced-cost classes. We've also inspired studios in other cities, including Phoenix, Sedona, Portland, and Philadelphia.
Universal Healing
We believe that spreading yoga to more people is helping to heal the world wholistically, one person at a time. With access to a regular spiritual health practice, people are empowered to find fulfillment within themselves. When we can honor our innate goodness, we can begin to treat other people more kindly and respectfully, as well as the earth and its sentient beings.
History of Tucson Yoga
Tucson Yoga was founded by Debbie Daly in 2003, when she started offering classes for $5 at the ORTS dance studio in downtown Tucson. Her initial investment was $200 for 18 cheap yoga mats. Classes filled quickly, more teachers were brought on, and in 2004, Debbie moved Tucson Yoga into its current space at 150 South 4th Avenue. At the new location the studio grew rapidly, and for the past five years Tucson Yoga has been voted Tucson's Best Yoga Studio. With 10 teachers offering 22 classes per week, Tucson Yoga now serves over 1,800 students per month and has become a hub for mindfulness yoga, yin yoga and gentle yoga, with a continued focus on community and accessibility.
