"Evening Light" is a collection of musical gems recorded live by the Choral Society of Grace Church (http://www.thechoralsociety.org/), one of New York City's finest choral ensembles. Some of the most inspiring and elegiac works in the choral genre are represented here, including selections from the Rachmaninoff Vespers, motets by Anton Bruckner and Josef Rheinberger, the Biebl Ave Maria and Palestrina's Sicut Cervus.
The Choral Society is a 150-voice ensemble of experienced professional and avocational singers who volunteer their time and talents in the service of the choral art form. Supported by some of New York’s finest freelance orchestra players, the Choral Society’s concerts are designed to bring the arts directly to the community through the uniquely inclusive medium of choral singing. The Choral Society is in residence atGrace Church in New York, one of the city’s most beloved landmarks.
