Item Description
Carl Zimmerman (1900-1985) was a Cincinnati artist well known for his mural and oil painting. He studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati in the 1920s while working weekends at an advertising agency in Indianapolis; he later taught at the Art Academy. His works can be found in Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Grand Rapids, Dayton and Pittsburgh. This signed, framed painting (29½ -by-23½ inches) depicts a small sailing craft passing a desolate bay, framed by coastal pine trees; the muted colors are blues and browns.
