For more than 40 years, G. Raymond Schuhmann has been involved with documenting the thrill and romance of the Kentucky Derby. Today, Schuhmann leads a technology agency that has developed a powerful software solution that enables access to a selection of the archives on the Kentucky Derby web site, along with the ability to print on-demand and customize the matting and framing.
In 1977 Kinetic Corporation was named the official photographer and archivist of the Kentucky Derby. The images date back to the first Kentucky Derby in 1875.
This dramatic and beautiful photo of Barbaro is as he raced to win the the 2006 Kentucky Derby.
