Most people recognise the actor Vincent D'Onofrio particularly in his TV role as Bobby Goren in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, away from the screen, he is a very private person and not so much is known about the real man. Vincent is one of those special people who does a lot of charity work quietly, usually for causes that don't tend to get a huge amount of public attention.

One such cause is the Utah Meth Cops Project which works so hard to raise funds for a special de-tox program for police officers who put their own lives and health at risk by subjecting themselves to harmful chemicals whilst dismantling hundreds of toxic methamphetamine labs.

The Utah Meth Cops Project is the only one of its kind, dedicated to helping these heroes regain the health and quality of life they lost by putting themselves on the line.

Every year, Vincent donates time and money to the Meth Cops Project and it is something he feels very passionately about. These people are heroes, risking their own lives to protect others.

This painting is a tribute to Vincent D'Onofrio, not just as an actor but for his commitment and support to, what I believe, is a truly worthwhile cause...a chance to say thank you to the heroes of our world!

Item Special Note

About the Artist

Tracie Koziura has been exhibiting her art internationally since 2008. Her biggest passion is wolves which are the main subject of her work although she also enjoys creating a variety of other subjects including landscapes, portraits, wildlife and domestic animals. Specialising in pastels, charcoal and tinted graphite, Tracie's images are realistic, inviting the viewer to connect with the subjects character and inner spirit. Despite being a relative newcomer to the world of art her work has been described as sensitive, adventurous and alive.

"I love the freedom creating art gives me; to explore; to study; to learn about the world around me and all that exists within it. Art has opened my eyes to so many things I had taken for granted - unique subtleties I had been too busy to notice. When I paint, the world comes to a halt; the details of life come into focus. It is truly addictive, this desire to create!"
