A Little About Acupuncture: A component of Eastern medicine, acupuncture is the art and science of stimulating the body’s own natural healing processes. Acupuncture needles are typically not much thicker than a strand of hair. Once the needles are in place, your body may tingle or feel warm. Many patients fall asleep or feel relaxed. Some say they feel a brief sensation as the needle is placed in the skin, but this passes quickly.
