Item Description
Do you want to demystify the restaurant wine list? Do you want to know which wine is the perfect wine to pair with your entrée? Do you want to have more fun than a Trekkie at the 2012 Comic-Con in San Diego? If you answered “yes” to these three questions then you will definitely want to bid on an unforgettable evening of sampling wine with nine of your friends and wine educator Curtis Finn.
Your winning bid will allow you and nine of your friends to taste 12 different specially selected bottles of wine from the private collection of Curtis Finn in the comfort of your own home. Unlike a distributor or wine shop, Curtis will not be trying to sell you his latest bottle du jour. Instead your sampled wines will have been properly stored and aged and most will have a rating of 90+ points from either Wine Spectator or Robert Parker. In short, you will be able to sample bottles at their height.
As if this wasn’t enough, if the winning bidder and his friends actually want to learn something about wine then Curtis will teach them:
- The differences between old and new world styles
- How to pair any dish with the perfect wine
- How wines are professionally rated (tasted and scored)
- Each participant’s personal taste preferences
Now how much would you be willing to pay? But wait there is more:
Curtis will supply not only the wines, but also the music, bottled water, dump buckets, rating sheets with pens, wine buckets, wine bags, stemware, corkscrews, smell standards, and white tablecloth. Although Curtis is also willing to supply the friends, you should really consider doing this yourself with people whose company you enjoy including those in your winning bid group.
Value: Priceless although Curtis values the wine alone around $450.
Item Special Note
NOTE: The winning bidder must make arrangements for a mutually agreed upon event date and location with Curtis before July 1, 2012.
