Item Special Note

The Madison Handbags story is one of confidence in what the direct selling opportunity could do for so many women and their families. Trish Rost, president and founder of MHB, knew that sharing a great home-based business opportunity could really have a huge impact. She set out to develop a business plan that would be appealing to other women and realized that designing handbags could be the answer. So it began…countless hours of planning, researching, and putting together the foundation for a company that would be built on the hopes and dreams of many.

Trish started the company in April of 2005 out of the basement in her home. Originally cutting fabrics on her small home cutting table with her neighbor, she prepared kits to be picked up by home sewers. Once finished, the home sewers would bring the completed handbags back to Trish so they could be shipped out. From that phase, Trish moved on to hire a company to help produce the bags.

Having evolved and grown, MHB is now proudly operating our own busy production facility in Troy, NY, where "Made in the USA" is something we are proud of. We continue to welcome growth and expansion with excitement and determination, while also staying loyal to the network of home sewers who were there from the beginning and helped establish our success. As the company grows and brand name recognition spreads across the country, we remain humbled and thrilled by the reaction of so many who love our bags.

So, when you see the Madison Handbags label, know that determination, pride, and the belief in a dream are all sewed inside… and enjoy flaunting your style!
