Dutchess Stadium

Dutchess Stadium is in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Dutchess Stadium, the home field of the Hudson Valley Renegades, opened in 1994 and holds 4,494 people.

"The Dutch" has hosted many big names over the years, from the legendary Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen to rising baseball talent like Josh Hamilton and Evan Longoria.

Dutchess Stadium was built in just 71 days in 1994, crews bolting the last few seats into place when the gates were opened for the inaugural game of the Hudson Valley Renegades.

The Erie Sailors brought their agreement with Texas with them when they relocated to the Fishkill-Wappingers Falls area, putting the future Rangers in front of sell-out crowds nearly every home game of the season.

By the end of the '94 season, the Renegades found themselves with a respectable .500 record for the year and boasted five future big-leaguers.

Meanwhile, 'Gades mascot Rookie the Renegade took a huge chance and asked out Rene Gade, another six-foot-tall raccoon he met at Dutchess Stadium. They shared their first date July 14.

The Dutch hosted the 2007 New York-Penn League All-Star Game.
