Two professionally framed and matted limited-edition etchings by celebrated Japanese artist Ryohei Tanaka.
The smaller etching titled May Breeze depicts a tree with birds overhanging a field and roofline of three homes. Limited edition etching, number 29 of 150. Image Size: 8 x 8" Frame Size: 14 x 14" Signed: in Pencil, "T. Ryohei" Made in 1991.
The larger etching titled House with Big Tree No. 2 depicts a Japanese streetscape with gated entrance and large trees. This etching is number 19 of 130. Image size: 12 x 12" Frame Size: 15 1/2 x 16 1/2" Signed: in pencil, "T. Ryohei" Made in 1992. Both in pristine condition.

About the Artist
Japan's foremost etcher, Ryohei Tanaka was born in Takatusuki City, Osaka in 1933. He studied under Yoshio Furuno at the Kyoto School of Fine Arts. First commissioned in 1965, Tanaka has won a number of awards in Japan, Yugoslavia and America and is widely exhibited and collected worldwide.
His works are included in collections at: the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Cincinatti Museum of Art; Fogg Museum; Springfield Museum; Aschenbach Foundation; Museum of Japanese Culture, Florida; Honululu Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Tanaka's work has been the subject of solo exhibitions in New York, San Francisco and Kyoto, Japan.
