The people at EVR were great. We arrived late Friday night and were able to ski a full day at Sunday River in Bethel on Saturday. Sunday we rented snowmobiles in Fryeburg (a 30 minute drive). There was a fantastic trail system that went on forever and the views were spectacular. EVR is close to all of the fun but is situated in a quiet, remote setting about 5 miles off the main road. Our comfy timeshare had a complete kitchen, a loft with one bedroom and two sleeper sofas in the living area. We could have fixed all of the meals but we found a yummy country-style diner called Melby's about 10 minutes away that was hard to resist. The valley was picturesque and peaceful - right next to the White Mountain National Forest.
EVR has a big game room with pool table, darts and arcade games. There's internet access, pretty good cell phone coverage (but you can always say there isn't) and laundry machines. There's another big common room with a beautiful stone mantel, home for a glowing glass-front woodstove. One of the guests used the area to work on a quilt while her husband rode his sled. They also have a great movie library.
EVR is centrally located to ski different mountains - North Conway resorts to the southwest and Maine mountains not far north. Snowmobile trails start from the resort, are well-groomed and part of a big system. There are lakes in the area for ice fishing too.
