Item Description
This walnut Emperor Grandfather Clock was built from a kit donated to the Foundation by Gerald & Rachel Fisher. Many skilled hands contributed to the construction, finishing and tuning of this clock. The kit was "vintage" when it was received by the Foundation. Gerald Fisher purchased the kit in 1980. He did't get around to assembling it so the Fisher's decided to donate it to support the carpentry program at SCC. It was assembled by a carpentry student and finished by Mark Burmeister Painting. Mike Elwood with Hickory Dickory Dock - The Clock Shop tuned up the movement. Pete Nass at Custom Glass & Mirror donated the glass for the doors. Jim Munson, Mark Paddock and Rick Sanders all contributed to the completion and safe keeping of the clock in anticipation of this auction to sell the completed item. Proceeds from the sale will go to support the carpentry program at South Central College, Faribault campus.
Item Special Note
Clock is Model 120 Series, 74" x 16 3/4" x 10". Uses 1-week weight driven model 101M Emperor Clock Movement. The clock mechanism was serviced and has not been run much since then.
