Marlene Hawthrone Thomas earned her BS at Howard University and is working toward her MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. She worked as photographer and editor at the D.C. newspaper Hilltop, and was primary photographer for the National Council of La Raza. Her photography has been exhibited nationally, including: K2 Modern Art (Turkey), Hammonds House (Atlanta), the High Museum (Atlanta), and 12 12 Gallery (Richmond, VA).
