Item Description
LIVE AUCTION ITEM! An experience to remember! Join Congressional math teacher, Mr. Peter Kirchoffer, and Congressional science teacher, Mrs. Cami Creason, for a day of flight. You’ll start the adventure by meeting Mr. Kirchoffer at the Manassas Airport and get ready to fly! As all pilots do…you'll begin with a preflight walk around to inspect the plane. Then you and your child will climb aboard a 4-person Cessna for a 35 minute flight around Virginia’s beautiful countryside. Once airborne, your child can even take the controls! This is a great adventure for you and your budding pilot.
Following your airplane ride, you will join both Mr. Kirchoffer and Mrs. Creason on a visit to the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. The Udvar-Hazy Center consists of the Boeing Aviation Hangar where planes, engines, helicopters, ultra-lights, and experimental flying machines are displayed on three levels and the James S. McDonnell Spack Hangar where hundres of famous spacecraft, rockets, satellites, space-related small artifacts, and the Space Shuttle Enterprise, are all on display.

For 2 people, minimum age of 9, for a 1-hour demo flight in a
4-passenger Cessna airplane
Either a Saturday in May 2012 or during the summer of 2012 (weather permitting)
Must be arranged two weeks prior.
Valid for CSOV students and parent or legal guardian only.
