Item Description
These hand blown glass earrings were crafted by a small-scale artisan from Chile who is supported by SERRV, a nonprofit organization with a mission to eradicate poverty wherever it resides by providing opportunity and support to artisans and farmers worldwide.
For more than 60 years, SERRV has worked to eradicate poverty through direct connections with low-income artisans and farmers. SERRV markets their crafts and foods, finds joint solutions to their challenges, and helps them grow and embrace the future. One of the first alternative trade organizations in the world, SERRV is a founding member of the World Fair Trade Organization (formerly IFAT) and a founding member of the Fair Trade Federation (FTF). SERRV's work encompasses more than just buying and selling.
It offers prepayments so artisan partners can sustain their businesses, it creates new designs so they can build their markets, it teaches new skills so they can develop their crafts and it
provides grants so they can expand their resources.
