Item Description

You are bidding on a VIP Tour and Tasting at Ingleside Vineyards where up to 6 guests experience Ingleside's history and how they make their wine on a private tour of the winery.  Following the tour is a wine and cheese reception where you taste a full array of Ingleside's award-winning wines from whites to reds, dry to sweet.  This experience will allow you to know more on how wine is made and to help you in choosing your wine preference.  Restrictions and stipulations:  must be 21 or over, certificate expires a year after event, and 2 weeks advance notice is needed for making a reservation.

Ingleside Vineyards is nestled in the narrowest point of land between the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers on the historic Northern Neck of Virginia.  Here the Flemer family takes great pride in producing wines from the vineyards on their 3000 acre estate. Just down the road from the winery is the site of the first recorded act of resistance to British rule, the birthplaces of two US presidents, George Washington and James Monroe, and the home of the Lee's.

Producing its first wine in 1980, Ingleside is the oldest winery on the Northern Neck and the fifth oldest in Virginia.  Today they remain winemaking pioneers in Virginia.  Ingleside is the first Virginia winery to make sparkling wine using traditional Methode Champenoise and to bottle Virginia's first Petit Verdot. More recently they have had great success with two Italian varieties, Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese. Ingleside's winemaking style produces mature full flavored reds and crispy lively white wines designed to compliment elegant meals.
