Rainbow baseball has a proud and rich tradition, including 40 years as an NCAA Division I member. Over that time, UH has made one College World Series, 14 NCAA Regional appearances and captured six WAC Tournament titles. In addition, more than 80 Rainbows have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams.
The Rainbows were crowned WAC Co-Regular Season champions last year for the first time since 1992 and fell in the WAC Tournament championship to Fresno State. Four University of Hawai'i baseball players were voted 2012 Preseason All-WAC and Hawai'i was predicted to finish third in the preseason coaches poll.
