Artist, author and Marblehead resident Samuel Chamberlain (1895-1975) turns his eye to France in this beautiful book. In over two hundred drawings and black-and-white photographs, he presents France as it was from 1919 to 1939. Good condition with dust jacket.
A modern complement to Chamberlains's is also included -- "Traditional Houses of Rural France" by Bill Laws. With numerous color photographs, this volume discusses the distinguishing characteristics of rural architecture throughout France. Good condition; no dust jacket.
