Item Description
Celebrate the beauty of music - become part of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's 54th season. SPCO is the nation’s only full-time professional chamber orchestra and is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. These 34 virtuoso musicians present more than 130 concerts and educational programs each year, and are regularly heard on public radio’s Performance Today and SymphonyCast - reaching 1.6 million listeners each week on hundreds of stations. Although the upcoming season has not yet been announced, here's just a smattering of SPCO's current offerings to give you an idea of their typical exciting schedule: Haydyn's Drumroll Symphony, Grammy Award-winning The Parker Quartet, or Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony. Each season, SPCO offers fun 50-minute concerts for young listeners as well. Next season will undoubtedly bring concerts just as exciting as the upcoming A Percussion Family geared for ages 3-6, and X-plore the String Family, geared for ages 6-12.
When not touring, the SPCO performs at 10 different venues around the Twin Cities including Antonello Hall at MacPhail and Temple Israel in Minneapolis, and the Ordway Center in St.Paul.
