These surf dog pals love to hang out and play on the sand as well as the surf! Rina, the yellow lab, is Ricochet’s sister. She doesn’t surf, but she is an incredibly smart and sweet service dog. Ricochet has made a name for herself worldwide as a “SURFice Dog” who had raised incredible amounts of funds for a multitude of causes as well as her unique ability to assist disabled children and adults to surf! Ricochet, Guido and Kona are all founding members of the SoCal Surf Dogs.

Guido is an Aussie shepherd known as a “lethal white”. These pups get too much white coloring and are often born blind & deaf. Guido is lucky he's got some vision and hearing problems but doesn't even know he has doggie disabilities. He is known for his unique style of chillin’ on the board.

Kona was a stray pup found wandering lost and alone, alongside a railroad track early one morning in March of 2006. She and Guido became fast friends. Both of them loved the beach. In Summer 2008 Guido and Kona attended the Loews Coronado Surf Dog contest in Imperial Beach, CA. They appeared to have much more interest in being “paw”ticipants than spectators. This, in turn, led to surf lessons with the “San Diego Surfing Academy” two months later because, after all, what other option was there? The two of them became team “K9 Kahunas” and they have been surfing ever since.
