DRIVING MISS DAISY
2010
You don’t have to drive all the way to the Piggly Wiggly to pick up this regal southern lady. Our Daisy bear can be wrapped up and ready to go home with you in no time. As portrayed by the incomparable Vanessa Redgrave in the 2010 Broadway debut of Driving Miss Daisy, this bear wears a detailed replica of the costume originally designed by Jane Greenwood. Daisy is quite the proper lady in her 1950s-inspired blousy raspberry day dress, adorned with gold beads and tassels. The dress features an open collar that frames our Daisy bear’s face and is cinched with an understated belt in the same raspberry color. Her delicate white-blonde hair is gathered into a snood, topped with a fashionable black felt hat. Our Daisy bear accentuates the look with double-pearl dangle earrings and a pair of smart tortoiseshell framed glasses. Clutched in her right hand is a pair of crisp, white gloves. With her stylish black leather handbag in tow, this sassy lady is ready get in the car and go.
