Item Description
Since 1875 the house of Rodet has been a prominent wine family in Burgundy. Rodets wines include four distinct estates including Rully and Mercey. In the Cote de Chalonnaise appellation of Bourgogne, Chateau de Rully dates back to the 12th century. Owned by the Counts of Terney, it is the emblem of the village of Rully in Burgundy. Chateau de Mercey is located in the Hautes Cotes de Beaune and Chalonnaise areas with its estate stretching over 48 hectares. Robert Parker instructed now listen carefully. This firm is making some super white wines from their holdings in the Cote Chalonnais that merit more attention than they have heretofore received. This is an up and coming firm!" From Rully, sample the Rully Saint Jacques Chardonnay, the Premier Cru Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir from 2007. From Mercey, enjoy the Mercury Chardonnay, Mercury Pinot Noir and Hautes Cotes de Beaune Pinot Noir. This collection was selected by expert wine merchant Sherry Lehman in New York and is presented to you in a lovely wire wine carrying basket.
