Item Description

Please join Megan Rupp, Katharine Weymouth and Marilyn Baker for a lecture and luncheon with internationally-acclaimed architect and Beauvoir grandparent Yann Weymouth. One of his generation's finest designers, Weymouth has been intimately involved in the design and realization of some of the most well-known buildings in the world. He was Chief of Design under I.M. Pei for the Grand Louvre Project in Paris, the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art and the gravesite of Senator Robert Kennedy at Arlington Cemetery and has completed projects for New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Most recently, he designed the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, a fantastical, kaleidoscopic structure inspired by Buckminster Fuller that has received rave reviews from around the globe. You will not want to miss this wonderful opportunity to hear from a master of his craft.

Item Special Note

Luncheon to be held at Megan Rupp's home on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The cost is $125 for each ticket. 30 tickets are available and the guest list is limited to Beauvoir-affiliated families.
