Item Description

Dr. Bob Rodgers received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering/Psychology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology/Higher Education and began work as a Residence Hall Director there. His Ph.D. is from OSU in Higher Education/Philosophy. Dr. Rodgers led the Student Personnel Administration Program at OSU, was Associate Vice President of Student Services and served as an adjunct Assistant Professor of Education & Psychology. He then served as a regular professor of Higher Education  and Psychology for the next 40 years. He is a member of ACPA, NASPA, the American Association for Counseling & Development, the Association for Psychological Type, the Association for Moral Education, the American Association for Higher Education and the Ohio College Personnel Association. He received the Earl Anderson Award for Higher Education, the Teaching Award from NASPA Region IV and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Tau Beta Pi, Ohio Delta Kappa & received the Annuit Coeptis Award of ACPA. Currently, “Dr. Bob” is Emeritus Professor of Education at The Ohio State University.

Topics/Competencies:
One Day Professional Development Workshop: Professional Ethics and Moral Development (Competency: Ethical Professional Practice; Leadership; Personal Foundation)

Program Description
This one-day workshop (6 to 8 hours) will emphasize becoming aware of what it takes to affect ethical behavior on the job and different kinds and levels of moral reasoning that underlie our behaviors. The workshop will include discussions of moral dilemmas, group interactions, and formal conceptual presentations.

Time Frame of Service Offered
One-day workshop (6-8 hours). Other formats such as additional breakout sessions and consultations may also be offered and negotiated between the Speaker and the campus.

Type of Audience 
It is preferred to provide the Speaker with a multi-school conference or professional association conference where a diversity of colleges or organizations is present.  Single campus events, staff presentations/training or conferenceare to be negotiated in advance prior to bidding.

Scheduling
All speaking engagements are to be scheduled within 12 months of the close of each Showcase and payment made to the Foundation at the close of bidding or upon invoicing (unless other arrangements are made in advance with the ACPA Foundation Treasurer.) Conversations about availability and scope of the services are encouraged between potential bidders and the speakers in advance of the Convention.

Travel Expenses
An additional $500 is payable directly to the Speaker for travel expenses and/or as otherwise negotiated by the university directly with the speaker.
