Item Description
Bid on this 3" long brass kaleidoscope that packs a punch! Two wheels of fused glass turn independently for a variety of beautiful shapes and patterns. Kaleidoscope sits on a walnut hardwood base and comes from Cape Kaleidoscopes in Mashpee, Massachusetts.
Sheryl Koch, the artist who designed this kaleidoscope, has been making kaleidoscopes professionally for over 30 years. She also teaches art at the John C. Campbell School of Folk Art.
Sheryl uses the finest materials available to create her wonderful kaleidoscopes. One of the trademarks of her varied line is having two wheels to turn at the end of the body. The wheels can be made with stained glass, agate stones, glass jewels, and fused glass (‘hot’ glass).
Because there are two wheels, there is almost and endless combination of beautiful and intricate visions.
Each kaleidoscope contains a front surface optical mirror to create beautiful visions without distortion. All kaleidoscopes less than 11” long in Sheryl’s line (including this one) have optical lenses so that your eyes can focus on the images without needing eyeglasses.
The trademark of Sheryl's kaleidoscopes is precision optics, handcrafted in America with the highest quality materials.
