Item Description
Join Kirk Bell on a tour of Angel Island State Park. You'll learn about Angel Island's rich cultural history, which includes a Civil War-era fort, a WWI and WWII fort, an early 20th century quarantine station, the Immigration Center grounds used to "process" thousands of immigrants from Asia and elsewhere, a Cold War Nike missile site, and numerous military bunkers.
You'll also explore two very distinct ecosystems and the geology of the island. We'll look at the effects of the 2008 fire that burned one third of the island.
