Item Description
Verdi’s opera of Shakespeare’s most revered tragedy returns to the Metropolitan Opera this spring. As the doomed couple, Thomas Hampson and Nadja Michael will deliver the vocal fireworks of two of Verdi’s most challenging roles, Hampson for the first time at the Met and Michael in her company debut. This package includes 2 tickets to the April 5, 2012 8pm performance, as well as 2 glasses of champagne in the opera house and a CD box set of “James Levine: Celebrating 40 Years at the Met.” The 11 historic performances on the 32-CD set range from innovations like the Parade triple-bill (including Satie's ballet Parade, and the operas Les Mamelles de Tirésias by Poulenc and L'Enfant et les Sortilèges by Ravel) to the world premiere of John Harbison's The Great Gatsby from 2000. This package is a must-have for any true opera aficionado.
Item Special Note
Two tickets (Orchestra Row Q, seats 115 & 116) for the April 5, 2012 8pm performance of Macbeth.
