Item Description
Mark Twain
BIG RIVER
1985
“How Blest We Are” to have this guy on the docket. Mark Twain once said: “Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence in our society.” And our Mark Twain bear is looking dapper in his suit of coarse antique linen with antique pearl buttons. The three-piece suit is an exact replica of the suit worn by Gordon Connell in the original production of Big River. Beneath the white linen vest he wears a white cotton batiste shirt and striped silk tie. Mark Twain bear’s shoes are handmade from black leather and he also comes accessorized with a small watch chain in his vest pocket. Mark Twain was a man of great wisdom and he’s earned each one of the gray hairs on his head. The synthetic wig and mustache were created from a Santa Claus wig and restyled before being attached by hand to this adorable (and wise) bear. Look out for this guy, muddy water. He’s got a need for going someplace.
