Item Description
Did you know the San Francisco zoo traces its beginnings back to 1856, when James Capen "Grizzly" Adams began capturing bears and storing them in a basement at Clay and Leidesdorff Streets.
Horrifying, yes. But who doesn't remember that amazing TV series from the '80s?
The SF Zoo is now an educational environment, focused on teaching conservation, complete with an almost-new bear habitat called Grizzly Gulch. They state, "We designed the Zoo with the underlying belief that interaction and activity lead to conservation action. We hope that caring for specific animals will inspire people to care for all wildlife and that this is the first step in the journey to becoming a conservationist."
Bid on this once-in-a-lifetime(ish) experience, and go to the zoo!
Item Special Note
expiration date is December 31, 2012.
