Item Description

Handmade by the talented Robolino artisans in Ecuador, these distinctive earrings will draw attention and compliments!  The main orange tuaga piece is highlighted by small orange and brown tagua nut accents.

Item Special Note

The tagua nut is the fruit of a wild palm tree found in the Ecuadorian tropical forest.  The young bulb is gelatinous, edible and full of water.  After maturing, the tagua nut acquires the consistency and malleability of ivory.  Its quality is ppreciated in the most exclusive fashion markets.

The rip nut is harvested in a sustainable process, then sun-dried.  Each nut is them hand-dyed, molded and polished to satisfy the jewery designers' critical standards.  The process ends with the design and meticulous creation of each piece by the hands of an Ecuadorian artist.
