Item Description

Join the schooner Bowdoin’s captain, Eric Jergenson, and her crew on a very special day for 30 guests aboard the Bowdoin July 21, 2012. Take the neighborhood crew, your extended family, or use it as a morale booster for your company and their families.

The schooner Bowdoin was designed by William H. Hand, Jr., and built in 1921, in East Boothbay, Maine, at the Hodgdon Brothers Shipyard now known as Hodgdon Yachts. She was designed for Arctic exploration, under the direction of Donald B. MacMillan, and has made 29 trips above the Arctic Circle in her life, three after she was acquired by the Maine Maritime Academy in 1988. She is the state of Maine’s official sailing vessel, located in Castine, Maine, and used for Maine Maritime Academy’s sail training curriculum.
