Item Description
This chunk of amethyst, donated by the Mineral and Gem Society of Castro Valley, is approximately 4"x6"x1.5". The stone is a great way to introduce a young person to rock collecting, or to add to someone's established collection.
Amethyst is a traditional birthstone for February. Hey! Know anyone born in February that likes sparkly things?
Item Special Note
The Mineral and Gem Society of Castro Valley was founded in 1948. They have an annual gem, mineral, and jewelry show each spring that is fun for the whole family. Check out their website for special junior lapidary activities and junior club information.
