Shannon studied art at the University of Kansas where she covered a wide variety of medias, design, graphic art, and art history graduating with a degree in fine arts and visual communications. Most of her artwork through the years has always included some form of the human element. "I really enjoy trying to capture the likeness of a person, I am fascinated with fine detail and really capturing what that life has to say to me".
Shannon has spent the last 15 years juggling her life as a mom to her three kids (her primary inspiration) and keeping art as part of her life, working independently as a freelance artist she has completed hundreds of murals, gifts, and portraits.
