Item Description

Beautiful one-of-a-kind encaustic painting by local artist Danita Cole! These "Bookend Barrels" of 2010  each measure 18x24 and are framed in blond raw wood.  Bid on this and item #130 to win the matching pair, or bid on just one!

Danita Cole has been donating paintings to the Ronald McDonald House since 2007, and has an original painting in nearly all guest rooms and in some common areas.  She has been featured locally by a number of galleries and was a member of the 2009-2010 Farmer's Market.

"Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid/paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used." -Wikipedia
