Item Description
Tor Kenward winemaker Jeff Ames has been dazzling the wine world with his prominent cabernet sauvignons and syrahs under his own Rudius label. You can't buy them off of his website, because, well...they always sell out. Quickly.
"On the nose, you immediately sense the floral lift from the Viognier component. There are lilacs and honeysuckle as well as spice, roasted meats, leather, earth and a bit of road tar. When you first take a sip you get a touch of meats again, along with black truffles, menthol, iron and cherries. The weight is more mid/full than heavy, with full tannins side-to-side and front-to-back. The flavors carry all the way through to a finish of boysenberries, cloves and some sweet mint."
Only about 150 cases produced. This is as rare as it gets.
