Item Description

Aldolpho
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE
2006

Aldolpho, the bumbling and lovable Latin lothario from The Drowsy Chaperone, is sure to melt your heart. Our Aldolpho bear wears a stylish gray silk shirt with full sleeves and front buttons under a double-breasted, silk brocade vest. His trousers are made of brown-and-white pinstriped wool, constructed with fully tapered legs and a pleated front. Over this “fancy dresd,” he wears a cape made of silk brocade, with a velvet collar and passimenterie neck closure. Handmade blue and tan leather spats cover his leather- heeled ankle boots with side button closures. His black leather belt is adorned with chains and authentic coins, surrounding a genuine Argentinian gaucho coin placed as a center medallion. The belt fastens with a silver buckle. Aldolpho sports a stylish wig of hand-sewn black hair, complete with the signature grey stripe. Best of all, Aldolpho is known for his unmistakable “WHAAAAAAAAT?” Our Aldolpho bear comes with the recorded voice of Broadway’s original Aldolpho, Danny Burstein. Just press his left hand and hear this hysterical exclamation.
