Item Description
Six varieties of Heirloom Seeds from the kitchen garden at Thoreau Farm, the Henry David Thoreau birthplace.
Heirloom, open-pollinated seeds are the human species’ inheritance from 10,000 years of agriculture. These are all open-pollinated varieties, and since saved properly, their seeds will breed true. We saved these by hand from the kitchen garden beside the Thoreau birth house, using the same methods pre-historic humans employed. Enjoy growing them in your own garden knowing that other seeds harvested at the same time will be again raised in 2012 at Thoreau Farm.
