Item Description
Take a walk on the wild side….with wild flowers that is! Enjoy all that nature has to offer this Spring with this docent-led Wild Flower Walk through the Solstice Canyon in Malibu, followed by a private Spring Luncheon hosted at the lovely home of Mrs. Linda Rose Castellucci.
Solstice Canyon is the quintessential coastal canyon. Solstice Canyon Trail is an easy 2.1 miles round trip with wild flowers, sycamore trees and a babbling brook. The Chumash historically used this land for food, water, and shelter. Points of interest; year-round stream, birds busy building nests, Keller House, Tropical Terrace, Roberts' family home, a hidden sanctuary, and garden.
Guests will meet by the picnic tables, which are visible from parking lot. Here you will enjoy a 15 minute coffee social, meet your docent, Michita Pierose, pick up your water and trail mix before starting your hiking adventure into Solstice Canyon.
Be sure to wear comfortable hiking clothes and tennis shoes or hiking boots and walking stick (optional). Bring sunscreen and a hat or visor. Water will be provided. Don’t forget your camera, as this is scenery you’ll want to capture!
