Ray is the President and Owner of Big George Ventures LLC , the premier eco-friendly real estate developer in Carson Valley, Nevada. Ray obtained his undergraduate degree Mathematics from Harvard in 1991 and his doctorate in Mathematics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1995. In 1999, Ray was hired as the second engineer at Google, Inc., where he was instrumental in building the world's best-known search engine. Ray also designed and coordinated Google's first two employee fitness facilities.
Ray is a passionate all-around athlete, enjoying numerous endurance and winter sports. He has completed many triathlon, running, and cycling ultra-distance events, including an Ironman and a single day crossing of the Sierra by mountain bike. Ray is a keen supporter of youth sports, helping fund, and volunteer coach, the youth ice hockey program in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Ray’s Big George Ventures also financed construction of a new athletic complex at Douglas High School in Minden, NV, featuring a state-of-the-art, all-weather football field and the running track and soccer field complex at South Tahoe Middle School. Ray lives in Stateline, NV, where he shreds the slopes of Heavenly Valley daily in the winter.
