Item Description

Antique MADAME ALEXANDER BABY DOLL
                      Early 1900's.

This is a charming, marked Madame Alexander baby doll of about 17". She has a soft body and composition hands, head and lower legs. Her hair is molded and painted on and she has blue sleep-eyes which work well. The nape of her neck is marked MME ALEXANDER.  She has her original dress with bonnet, lining, slip and diaper.
She was donated by a close friend and a member of our church who says it belonged to his Aunt. This doll was well cared for and cherished throughout the years in his family.   She is a very rare baby doll.
After searching for some time, I found a more recent, similar doll that seems to be named "Pinky". After close inspection, I believe this doll I have listed is older than Pinky and I have not found one that has her original clothes.

I really have gotten attached to her!

Item Special Note

What you need to know: The dress is tattered from age. It can be repaired. However, I believe this adds to her character! Madame Alexander doll clothes can be purchased from online stores. Her sound box makes a faint cry, not working well. Her eyes open and close. She has stains on her cloth body. Her left pinky finger is broken. Not very noticeable since it's on the inside/back of her hand.

She measures about 17" long.  Buyer pays shipping.  Questions? Just ask!  Thank for your interest.
