Awesome Wines, Crafted by Awesome Women
--A 10-Magnum collection of wine, listed below
Women have always been an integral part of the California wine industry. Traditionally, they inherited their positions from husbands or fathers. However, beginning in the 1960s, women started to own wineries and to assume management positions based on their own qualifications, often independent of family heritage. But even more importantly, they began to become prominent winemakers.
In this lot we pay tribute to some of the premier female winemakers of the Napa Valley.
A collection of Awesome wines, made by Awesome women, in support of the Calistoga Family Center and the St. Helena Family Center, your collection will include:
- One 1.5 L 2004 Corison Napa Valley (winemaker, Cathy Corison)
- One 1.5 L 2004 Selene NV Cabernet Sauvignon, Dead Fred Vineyard (winemaker, Mia Klein)
- One 1.5 L 2008 Tres Sabores Rutherford Estate Zinfandel (winemaker, Julie Johnson)
- One 1.5 L 2009 Corra Cabernet Sauvignon (winemaker, Celia Welch)
- One 1.5 L 2008 Crocker & Starr Cabernet, Stone Place Vineyard (winemaker, Pam Starr)
