Item Description

If you're new to using the Macintosh and OS X, or if you're feeling lost and want to know how to get more out of it, this one is for you!

A half day individual instruction in setting up and using your iMac, MacBook or Mac Mini.

This includes:

  • Setting up your system;
  • Connecting to the internet;
  • Getting around and finding stuff inside and outside your Mac;
  • Using system resources including e-mail, surfing the web, writing and sharing documents;
  • An easy introduction to some applications that you've already got, such is iPhoto, iCal, iMovie, Address Book, Time Machine, that you might not use yet.

Steve Hix has spent more than 30 years working in the technology industry at companies including Apple and Sun Microsystems, trying to help newcomers learn to use both hardware and software tools.

You will need your Macintosh, running OS X, an internet connection, and up to six hours to apply to learning.
