Item Description

Own an original piece of art--and Los Angeles history!  Hugely talented L.A.-based artist Andre Miripolsky is offering an original sketch used as the basis for one panel in his forthcoming L.A. Historama stained glass project, to be erected at the L.A. Convention Center.

The work features several iconic Hollywood images, including the spinning globe from atop the Crossroads of the World center building, the facade of Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and a larger-than-life Mickey Mouse popping out of an old-fashioned camera.

Andre Miripolsky's keen understanding of pop imagery and energy has resulted in collaborations with Elton John (famous Central Park "Piano Key" costume and 1997 stage acts for his "Tonight Show" appearance), Bette Midler (album package/visual design for her worldwide "DeTour"), Quincy Jones, rolling Stones, Gato Barbieri, Robin Williams, Beastie Boys, Cheap Trick, MTV, and "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno.

Andre has used his unique artistic style to advance social consciousness, including collaborations with The Artist's Rights Foundation (1993), Canadian foundation Colors of Freedom (2005), and his world-famous graphic slogan "Fear No Art," created for a KCRW campaign (2001).
