Konjo Ababa, which translates to “beautiful flower” in Amaharic, is an ethically produced designer accessories label.

Ibex and all Konjo Ababa handbags are handcrafted in Ethiopia. Ethiopia is a country in South Africa with a population of approximately 80 million and more than half the population live in abject poverty. The founder, Thomas J. Meister, who graduated from The Department of Anthropology at WSU in Vancouver, guides Konjo Ababa through a productive process to reduce poverty in Ethiopia secularly. Konjo Ababa teaches sustainable skill sets, and donates time and resources for secular education. Konjo Ababa’s goal is to help reduce poverty by providing jobs in Ethiopia.
