Item Description

This item is one-of-a-kind, a pillow constructed from a retired WSU Marching Band Conductor’s uniform. The pillow was designed by Dr. Catherine Black and is part of the AMDT Band Uniform to Pillow Project.

The Band Uniform to Pillow Project is a unique experiential educational project engaging students from the WSU College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences Department of Apparel, Merchandising, Design and Textiles in sustainable product development from creative inception to finished product.

Students designed and produced one-of-a-kind pillows from retired WSU band uniforms worn by the Best in the West Band.  Each pillow is unique and was hand-made by students and faculty in the department. The pillow provided here is truly unique as there was only one conductor’s uniform!

The Band Uniform to Pillow project was led by Dr. Catherine Black, Associate Professor and Dr. Karen Leonas, Professor and Chair. If you are interested in seeing other pillows available, please see the AMDT website-http://amdt.wsu.edu/amdtpillows/
